About Margaret
Margaret is a writer, political activist, and pretty darn good bridge player. For decades, she wrote the column St. Sybil in the Herland Voice, an anti-racist, pro-LGBTQ+ feminist/womanist local newsletter that informed its readers about local events and issues affecting all women. Margaret is a lover of words and puzzles; she can often be found playing cards, Scrabble, solving the NYT Wordle, or studying Italian alongside her fluent French.
As a child, an army brat, Margaret has lived in Switzerland and Greece, and, as an adult, in California and Oklahoma. She gathers friends and stories everywhere she goes. Her hobbies are shell collecting on beautiful beaches, attending marches at human rights rallies, getting arrested for Anti-Death Penalty civil resistance, and spending time with animals, especially her beloved 16-year-old mini Dachshund, Darcy.
Deeply loved by family and friends, Margaret has one daughter, Malika, and amazing siblings, nieces, and nephews. She is currently writing several books and maintaining a blog. Margaret hasn't stopped asking questions, telling stories, and paying attention.
